Windows 7: How to Format Sticky Note Text

While the Sticky Notes found in Windows 7 can be useful, they also look rather bland. To make them more functional, you can format the text by making it bold or underlined, larger or smaller in size, and even use various types of lists such as bullets or numbers.

1. Create a new Sticky Note by clicking the Orb (Start Button), clicking All Programs, opening Accessories and selecting Sticky Notes.

2. Highlight the text you wish to format and use the following keyboard commands:
Bold: CTRL+B

Italics: CTRL+I

Underline: CTRL+U

Strikethrough: CTRL+T

Increase size of text: CTRL+SHIFT+>

Decrease size of text: CTRL+SHIFT+<   Bullet list: CTRL+SHIFT+L (once)   Numbered list: CTRL+SHIFT+L (twice)   Lettered list (a,b,c,etc.): CTRL+SHIFT+L (three times)   Lettered list (A,B,C,etc.): CTRL+SHIFT+L (four times)   Roman numeral list (i,ii,iii,iv, etc.): CTRL+SHIFT+L (five times)   Roman numeral list (I,II,III,IV etc.): CTRL+SHIFT+L (six times)
