The UAC was a pain in Windows Vista, and changing the settings for UAC was an even bigger pain. Windows 7 allows you to change the User Account Control settings from the Control Panel so you can easily adjust the settings to your liking.
1. Click the Windows Orb (Start button).
2. Select Control Panel.
3. Select All Control Panel Items.
4. Select Windows Solution Center.
5. Go to the left side of the window and select User Account Control settings.
6. Use the slider control to adjust the UAC settings.
Settings include: Always notify me and wait for my response, Always notify me, Only notify me when programs try to make changes to my computer, and Never notify me.
7. Click the OK button.
