How Do I Burn ISO or IMF Images/Files in Windows 7?

In Windows 7 burning ISO/IMF images can be accomplished without any additional software.

1. Right-click on the image file
2. Select Burn disc image

select burn disc image from menu

3. When the Windows Disc Image Burner loads, select the drive and if you want you to verify. Verification will slow the process but increase chances of a successful, accurate burn.

4. Press Burn
5. If its a DVD-RW disc, you will be asked if you want to erase the existing information.
6. The status bar will update with the progress. Press the Close button and remove the media when completed.

If you don’t see the Burn disc image in the context menu, you likely had previously installed another application that reset the default behavior of this filetype. You should be able to double click on the iso/imf file and see what application has taken control of that function.
