Nokia’s high-end Windows Phone 8 devices, like Lumia 920 and 820, allow users to interact with the screens even when they are wearing gloves. The feature, however, is disabled by default. This tutorial will show you how to enable and use it.
As of right now, only Nokia high-end WP8 smartphones such as the Lumia 920 and 820 have the ability to use the touchscreen despite wearing gloves. Setting the sensitivity level of the screen too high may also make the screen react to other objects if touched. If you do not want that situation to occur, make sure your device is locked before putting it into a pocket or bag with other items.
These devices are some of the few capacitance touchscreens that will work despite gloved hands.
1. Open the app list, and choose Settings.
2. In the Settings screen, scroll down to the display + touch option, and tap on it.
3. Change the touch sensitivity option from normal to high by moving the slider to the right side. By changing the setting to high, you can use gloves with your phone. You can test it right away once the feature is activated.
4. Later, if you want to reduce the sensitivity of the screen, just go back to the same setting, and set it back to normal.
