This is the final chapter of the game. Follow the instructions in this walkthrough to help Garrett save Erin and the whole city.
With the Hidden City completed, we can start the conclusion to Thief 4.
Discover Where Orion Has Taken Erin
You start this chapter surrounded by many creepy monsters who are walking around. The area is very dark. If you have run out of armor because of your fight with the general, you are at high risk of being killed in this area. However, the steps below will help you bypass the monsters without using anything.
Warning: Do not use your focus vision when a monster is nearby, or you will be spotted very quick.
From your initial position, go straight, turn right, and crawl into the hole beneath the floor. There is a monster on the second floor, so use your vision carefully.
When you crawl out of the hole, you will see a monster in front of you. Let it be. It cannot spot you when its eyes are closed. However, walk carefully because the creature is very sensitive to noise. You should be able to pass this monster by walking slowly to the right.
Later, you will see a spot to get to the second floor. Do not climb there yet because there is a monster patrolling. When the monster goes to the right side of the screen, climb up, and go to the left.
At the end of the path, you will see a railway. The last monster is walking this way, so be careful. When he walks to the left side, jump down, go to the right, and quickly pick the lock on the door before it comes back. Make sure you lock the door after you get in, just to be safe.
Find a Way to the Boat
Choose the path on the right, climb up the pipelines, and go to the opposite side. At this point, you are very near the guardhouse.
There will be two guards walking around the yard. One of them will come directly to your hiding place. Wait for him to turn back, and kill him.
When the other guard is not walking around the yard, go into the house quickly, and head to the second floor.
There is a guard on the second floor; you can bypass him easily if you walk slowly.
Open the door of the room on the top floor. Ignore the two guys talking, quickly go to the right, and use the hole to get out.
Next, go through the construction site to get to the next area.
Locate Orion and Erin
After you jump down from the construction site, go in the nearby room, climb up the pipeline, and get to the second floor of the other house in the area. Next, go downstairs, and take down the guard holding a very bright light. There are many guards in this area, and all of them are standing in the pathway to Orion’s room. The quickest way to bypass them without using any special tools is by throwing a bottle behind the guard standing in the passageway on the right upstairs. When the guard goes to the position of the broken bottle, quickly move closer to him, and turn right.
When you go upstairs, you will find a place to climb on. Use it to jump on the elevator.
When the elevator stops, go to the room on the left side. Take down the guard in that room and the other guy holding the bow near the back door. After that, jump down to the first floor.
Guards on the first floor can be taken down easily. For the first guy, just move closer to him, and knock him down as in the typical manner. For the two standing in front of the entrance, grab the fire arrow, and fire at the liquid under their feet. That should light them up.
Get Close to Erin
You should not come straight to her because she may move to another location. What you want to do is climb up the wall, go through the crawl space, and get closer to her from behind. This guide only works when Erin has not teleported to another place in the room. If you are stuck, reload the save game.
Follow Erin’s Trail
After Erin turns the guards in the room into monsters, walk slowly to the objective. The monsters cannot spot you if you do not make any noise. On the way to the target location, there will be a monster standing next to the door. Just crouch down and slowly pass him, and he will not be able to spot you.
Steal the Primal Energy from Erin
The locations of the Primal Stone fragments are marked on the picture. You can steal them in any order. However, it is recommended that you steal them in the order given to avoid running across the room too many times. The position of the third fragment is actually not very accurate due to the limited view in which I took this picture. After you steal the second fragment, just jump down, and go to the left side to get the last one.
The key to avoid Erin’s attack waves is by hiding in the shadows. Whenever she attacks you, hide in the shadows, or you will receive critical hits.
