You can configure Visual Studio 2005 to open much more quickly by having it open to an empty environment instead of going to the default Start page. Keep reading to find out how to do this.
1. Click Tools.
2. Select Options.
3. In the left pane of the Options dialog box, expand Environment.
4. Click Startup.
5. Select Show empty environment in the drop-down for At startup.
6. Uncheck the Download content every checkbox.
7. Click OK.
