The ODF Add-in for Word allows you to open, edit, and save ODF(Open Document Format) documents in Word. This allows Word users to utilize documents created in OpenOffice’s native document file format.
Download the add-in here. Once you have downloaded the setup file, double-click the file to begin installation.
After the add-in has been installed, you will be able to open ODF files by double-clicking them, right-clicking them and selecting Open with Microsoft Word or by going to the Office Button, clicking ODF and selecting Open ODF.
The ODF file will be converted to a docx file for Word to read. You can view the document and make changes. When you are finished, go to the Office Button and click ODF and select Save as ODF. The docx file will be converted to ODF.
