Outlook 2007: Sending Status Reports for Assigned Tasks

If you have been assigned a task, you might need to submit a status report at some point prior to completion of the task. This could be used to detail why the task has not been completed or why the task needs to be amended.


1. Double-click the desired task.

2. Got to the Ribbon and in the Manage Task section, select Send Status Report.

3. In the To textbox, you will see the name of the person who originally assigned you the task.

4. In the body of the status report, enter the desired details.

5. Click Send.
