Have a file that isn’t even worthy of going to Trash, you just want it to disappear? Ubuntu allows you to add a command to the context menu that will delete the file instead of sending it to Trash.
1. Go to the Main Menu, click on Places, and select Home Folder (any of the selections that will open up in the File Browser will work).
2. Click Edit and select Preferences.
3. When the File Browser Preferences window appears, select the Behavior tab.
4. Go to the Trash section, and check the Include a Delete command that bypasses Trash checkbox.
When you’re ready to delete a file, right-click the file and select Delete from the context menu.
