For most applications OS X handles windows very efficiently. However, in the Preview app, full screen preview is a very handy trick. For example, when reading a PDF file, full screen rocks.
In learning the differences between OS X and Windows, there is a large philosphy difference between the way “maximizing” windows are handled. I get that.
However, there are still a few cases when I want full screen maximization. The best time to use full screen is when using Preview. In viewing images or reading PDF files, full screen viewing is the best.
To do Full Screen Preview the shortcut is the following:
CMD-shift-F
Open up an image or PDF and try it now. Pretty cool, huh?
