Use Google to Search Through the Digg Database

Digg is a useful social bookmarking service; however, the duplicates in the system make it painful to use at times. Utilizing Google to search prior to submissions will help make Digg a better service.

If you do not Digg, you should. This new social bookmarking service is a great way to get the latest and greatest news and links. With Digg, people submit good links, and then everyone votes (or diggs) the best ones.

However, Digg is so busy that duplicated and similiar articles get submitted all the time. This dilutes the field and makes Digg a weaker service.

Digg’s search is not as powerful as Google’s, but by combining the power of Digg with the power of Google, duplicates could be eliminated.

Here is an example url to get you started:

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&domains=digg.com&q=technology&sitesearch=digg.com

This link will search Digg for technology. You can replace technology with whatever term you wish. You can also click the link, and enter your search term on the Google page.
