Now that browsers have tabs, why open new pages in new windows? By adjusting Safari, you can open new web pages in tabs — instead of separate windows. This tutorial shows how to do this in Safari 5.
Here is how to do it…
1. Within Safari 5, go to the Preferences menu.
2. Select Tabs
3. Select an option after: Open pages in tabs instead of windows
If you always want new windows to open, select Never.
If you never want new windows to open, select Always.
If you want Safari to guess, select Automatic.
