If you have owned a Sony Ericsson phone recently, you have probably seen the My Friends options in the phone. So what is this and how does it work? My Friends can let you have all of your IM clients/buddies in one spot, making chatting more simple.
First, you need a newer Sony Ericsson phone. All that I have owned recently have been unlocked and debranded (with no carrier customizations like the one I bought from Sony).
Next, go to http://yamigo.com and register an account. Yamigo is basically a server that lets you chat with your AOL, ICQ, MSN, and Yahoo buddies on your phone using the single client.
After you have registered your account, you will need to set up the options on your phone.
Here is what you need:
Username: (your Yamigo username and password)
Password:
Server: http://www.yamigo.com/wv/control
Internet Profile: your data account
Once you log in for the first time, your buddies will be pulled down from Yamigo. You can also opt to get news/sports/information sent via chat messages.
The best part is that it is free!
