Firefox 3: Change the Automatic Update Rate of Live Bookmarks

By default, Firefox reloads Live Bookmarks every 60 minutes. If this is not frequent enough for your needs, you can change the update rate by adding an unlisted preference to about:config.

1. Open Firefox 3.

2. In the Location Bar, input about:config.

3. Click to get past the warning message that appears.

4. Right-click anywhere in the Preferences listing.

5. Click on New and select Interger.

6. When prompted for the preference name, input the following:browser.bookmarks.livemark_refresh_seconds

7. Click OK.

8. When prompted to Enter integer value input the desired update rate in seconds (for example 2 minutes would be input as 120).

9. Click OK.
