If your Zune HD locks up or fails to respond, you will need to restart your device. This should also be tried if you receive error messages about missing items or when an application fails to perform correctly.
To restart your Zune HD media player:
1. Go to the top of the device.
2. Press and hold the On/Off button for approximately 10 seconds until the device restarts.
Once the device finishes starting up, your Zune HD should function as normal. This procedure will not delete any of your media files.
