Wii: Tips and Hidden Goodies

Here is a bunch of wii tips and hidden goodies compiled from all around the web and my own experience.

Adjusting Wiimote Volume/Rumble:

Hit Menu on any screen, click the Wii Remote Settngs on the bottom. You can now adjust Remote Volume, Vibrate.
You can also reconnect a controller if you need to change batteries or have to blame something for your lousy bowling (hehe).

Rearranging the Main Menu/Channel screen:

Just hover over the channel you want to move and hold A and B on the Wiimote and grab and move your channel.

How Friends work:

To make a ‘friendship’ with a pal, you both need to add each others Wii numbers in your address book. Once you do, you can send a message or Mii’s to them.

You can also add your friends’ or own email addresses to the Wii address book to allow your self to send emails to your wii to make light blue (https://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/1869/nintendo_wii_get_dvd_slot_glow).

Also, you can associate a Mii they’ve sent or made to their entry in your address book by clicking in the upper left area of the card.

Rearranging messages on your message board:

Just hover over one, hold A and B on your remote and it will let you grab and move them.

Mii Channel Tips:

I love the Mii channel and playing around in it a lot!.
-You can move using the control pad and zoom in and out w/the – and + buttons. If you hold down the B button you can scroll by pointing
-Once you have added a few friends, their Mii’s will start to mingle in the Mii Parade area. So be sure to have some Mii’s setup to mingle! i have Mr T and my collection of ex-world leaders!

Photo Channel Tips:

-Again, this channel is a fun one to have when having a party, i like to have a slideshow of pics i’ve taken of my pals and mp3s on the sd card play as background. looks great on a hdtv.
-You can take a screenshot of any video that you have playing on your Wii, just go to post and then post the photo to your message board. you can now send it to yourself or any of your friends. This works the same for normal photos too.

I’ll add photos/screenshots once i get my wii hooked up to the pc later.
