Dreamweaver allows you to crop images. Cropping an image using Dreamweaver will modify the source image file. Because of this modification, it is wise to keep a backup copy of the image file just in case you need to go back to the original image. Read on to find out how this is done.
To crop an image file, use the following steps:
1. Open the page containing the image you want to crop.
2. Select the image, and click the Crop Tool icon in the image
Property inspector. (You can also select Modify and click Image and then Crop.) This will place crop handles around the image.
3. Adjust the handles until the bounding box surrounds only the area of the image that you want to keep. Press Enter or double-click inside the bounding box to crop the selection. A dialog box informs you that the image file you are cropping will be changed.
4. Click OK.
5. Preview the image to verify proper display.
To undo these changes, follow the steps below:
Click Edit, and select Undo Crop to revert back to the original image. You can undo the effect and go back to the original image file until you either quit Dreamweaver or edit the image in an external application.
