OS X: Set Default Browser

If you want to switch your default browser in OS X, you will not find that option in the system preferences. Here is how to do it.

Switching the default browser between safari, opera, and firefox should be easy to do. It is once you find where the darn setting that is.

You have to open Safari to do it.

1. Open Safari
2. In the Safari menu click Preferences
3. Click the General tab
4. Select the browser you want to be default from Default Web Browser dropdown box
