OS X: CMD-Tab Hide and Quit

Using the cmd-tab app switcher, you can hide or quit programs. With a busy desktop and a bunch of apps running, these shortcuts will quickly trim down a busy system.

Once a user pulls up the app switcher using CMD-tab, it is very easy to hide and quit programs.

To quit programs from the app switcher:

Press CMD+Tab until the program you want is selected. Then press the Q key. The program will close without warning.

To hide or minimize programs from the app switcher:

Press CMD+Tab until the program you want to hide is selected. Press the H key and the app will minimize while it continues to run.
