Mail.app: Resend an Email Message

Sometimes you need to resend a message either because the recipient never received it or because they accidentally deleted it. To do this just follow these directions. This is the method used in the newer Mail Version 5.x as well.

I’ve never understood why you can’t just right-click on a sent email and resend it in OS X’s Mail application. It’s the logical place to look for it, but it’s just not there. Even in the later versions of the mail.app in Snow Leopard and Lion, you still have to do these steps to resend an email.

1. Select your Sent box.

2. Double-click on the message that is to be resent.

3. When the message opens, go to the Menu Bar.

4. Click on Message and select Send Again or use the keyboard combination of Shift+Command Key+D.

5. When the message box appears, click Send.
