Leopard Finder: Cover Flow Navigation

In OS X 10.5 Apple has brought the iPod/iPhone style Cover Flow navigation system to Finder. When flipping through pictures, documents, or tunes, this can be a highly efficient way to navigate through a series of files.


Most people know Cover Flow from its introduction as the navigation on the iPhones and iPods. Now Finder has this as well.

To use Cover Flow, you can select it from the View menu or click the Color Flow icon. I have them both highlighted in the image below.

Within Cover Flow you can also interact with some file types. Obviously you can see thumbnails and image art.

However, you can scroll through pages of a document…

You can even watch a movie…
