Sitting down and rating the photos you just imported from your camera can be a long and painful task. By using batches to rate your images, you can have them finished in no time.
1. Open iPhoto.
2. Start off by selecting the first photo that you are going to give a 5 star rating.
3. Now Command+Click all other images that you want to also give a 5 star rating.
4. When all desired images have been selected, press Command+5. All selected images will have a 5 star rating.
Repeat the above steps for assigning ratings to the other images. Use the following keyboard shortcuts to assign the rating:
Command+1: 1 star
Command+2: 2 star
Command+3: 3 star
Command+4: 4 star
