iPhone/iPad: Disable Click when Locking or Unlocking

Sitting in a quiet environment, I often hear the clicking sound when people unlock or lock their iOS device. Do you really need that audio feedback? These directions will allow you to open or close your iPhone or iPad silently.

The last time I went to see a show, I could guess who had an iPhone (or iPod Touch) by hearing the click, click, click of people locking and unlocking their devices. Annoying! Please disable that sound.

1. Click Settings

2. Click Sounds

3. Put Lock Sounds to OFF

Now, you can also check your email without waking your loving bed partner from a deep sleep. Congratulations.
