Don’t you hate it when you’re into a new book and you come across a word that you aren’t familiar with? You either have to stop what you’re doing to go find out what the word is or bypass it altogether and risk losing out on a key term in the reading. iBooks makes it easy to look up new words without leaving the page that you are reading.
When you come across a word that you are unfamiliar with, tap the word and hold until the word becomes highlighted, then release. A menu will appear above the word, select Dictionary.
The definition and pronunciation will be displayed.
When you are ready to resume reading, simply tap the page and the definition will disappear.
