Google Chrome: Disable Pop-Up Blocking Notifications

While pop-up windows can be quite annoying, constantly receiving notifications of blocked pop-up windows can be irritating as well. By default, Chrome is set to notify you each and every time that a pop-up is blocked. If you are tired of seeing these notifications, follow these steps:

By default, Entourage prevents the automatic download of pictures in email messages as a security measure to help prevent possible spamming. You can either have it download images in all messages or only in messages sent from your Address Book contacts.

Leopard: Using Preview to Make Screenshots

By using Preview’s Grab utility, you can easily make screenshots of your Mac desktop and application windows. While you can use various keyboard shortcuts to take screenshots, it is sometimes easier to use mouseclicks instead of the keyboard. Another advantage is that Preview gives you the option of taking timed screenshots that allow you 10 seconds to set up your shot before it snaps the screenshot.

Google Chrome: Use Bookmarklets to Download YouTube Videos

By using a couple of bookmarklets, you can easily download any YouTube video to your computer without the use of any other software. Once you have the video downloaded, you simply rename the file and it’s set to go.

IE8: Reopen Closed Tabs

You finally get to the webpage that you have been surfing for and now you have accidentally closed the tab. This can be a very frustrating situation. Luckily, Internet Explorer 8 is quite forgiving and allows you to easily reopen the closed tab, even if you have closed other tabs after it.

Firefox 3: Disable Installation Delay of Extensions

If you install Firefox extensions (who doesn’t?), then you are very familiar with the ghosted Install button with the countdown that requires your to wait for it to say Install Now. You can disable this and have immediate access to the Install Now button by altering the default configuration of your Firefox browser.
