YouTube has added the ability to add annotations to videos. While this can be a great addition to some videos, it can also be overused and become very distracting. If you wish to view a video without the added annotations, follow these steps:
1. Begin viewing the desired video at YouTube.
2. You will see the included annotations show up as you view the video.
3. Go to the bottom-right corner of the video player and mouseover the button with the upward pointing arrow. Click the button that appears above the arrow button.
4. The video will now play without the annotations.
If you change your mind while viewing the video, simply repeat the above steps and the annotations will be displayed.
